SPECIALIST engineering company Technica has won a second major contract with National Grid.

The design, build and installation of the fire and gas detection system at Peterborough Compressor Station, follows similar work in Huntingdon, awarded in April. 

The high-hazard facilities re-pressurise gas as it is transported around the UK.

Set to be delivered early next year, it is worth more than £1 million.
