Daniella Draper to open store number four this weekend
20th March 2017
CLEETHORPES’ jeweller to the stars, Daniella Draper, is gearing up to open her fourth boutique this weekend, in the heart of the Lake District.
Bowness-on-Windermere is the latest location selected by the family team, as previously reported.
It is a fitting time to open, as Daniella describes it as one of her “favourite places to be when spring arrives,” having spent some of her schooldays there.
She attended private boarding school Windermere St Anne’s, as well as St James’ School in Grimsby, before going on to graduate from Central Saint Martins in London with a degree in jewellery design.
Daniella describes the school as “a place where her creativity was nurtured and encouraged," prior to starting the business on the family kitchen table.
She moved to a workshop in Cleethorpes in 2012 and hasn't look back since.
Supported by her business partner mother Della, and sister Holly - the face of the brand - Bowness has achieved the same look as the Sea View Street, Lincoln and Beverley outlets.
The white, clean interior, featuring restored antique cabinets, to display the silver and gold jewellery, described as "instantly recognisable for its raw, unearthed beauty" has been replicated. All are supplied from the Grimsby workshop.
Her work is worn layered and stacked by celebrities that include Kate Moss, Chloe Moretz, Ellie Goulding and Ed Sheeran.
Describing Windermere as “the perfect setting for romance,” she will hold a special collection of engagement rings in store. She shot a promotional video in the Lake District last year, releasing it in the run-up to Christmas, featuring the ultimate gesture.
