Huge spraybooth sees Jamie Bunten back in business to paint for industry
19th May 2017
A NEW business built on expertise in the automotive sector is now up and running to serve industry.
Lincs Industrial Painters has been launched by Jamie Bunten in Grimsby, with a crystal clear slogan: "If you can make it, we can paint it".
The bold statement is made a possibility thanks to the installation of a £50,000 9m by 5m by 3.5m spray booth in the Top Cat Industrial Estate location it has taken on.
"We can paint anything," Mr Bunten said. "We started painting carbon steel platforms for the food factories, we have also painted window frames, wood, any material at all."
Having recently sold his Scratch Match business on the adjoining South Humberside Industrial Estate to Marshall Motor Group, it was a natural move for him as the demand was evident.
"I have been painting it for a while as a sideline, and it got to a point where we were taking more and more industrial painting enquiries – more than cars sometimes!"
The state-of-the-art equipment, from Spraybooth Technology, a recognised market leader, sits within a high-eaved accessible location, with on-site painting also offered to industrial clients. But it is the quick curing time that is proving attractive where process sites need to get back up and running as soon as practical.
Mr Bunten said: "We can paint large items in a controlled environment quickly and to a first-class standard. Items can be handled as soon as they've completed the bake cycle. In other words there's no need to wait for the paint to cure making our processes perfect for when time is of the essence.
It is the first time the one-time car dealer has stepped away from the trade in which he made his name in business, but the door remains slightly ajar.
"We still do truck panels," he said, proud to have his "best painter" with him.
All interested parties are more than welcome to visit the business and see the facilities and the painting services on offer.
