Lu-La Belle Couture arrives in Cleethorpes
21st March 2017
DEDICATED followers of fashion will now have to follow Laura at Lu-La Belle Couture to Cleethorpes.
Having just moved into the Cleethorpes High Street, the owner, Laura Pousette, is over the moon that so many of her clientele have followed her and plenty of new customers too!
The new boutique at 15 High Street is a welcomed addition to the resort, offering affordable fashion clothing and accessories.
Six years ago Laura started selling her clothing range online and then opened up inside the Oasis Gym on Orwell Street, Grimsby, four years ago.
“When this shop came up, it was too good an opportunity to miss, so I have closed my enterprise at Oasis and moved lock, stock and barrel here in Cleethorpes,” smiled Laura.
Laura’s success is down to the fact that she offers an exclusive range of affordable clothes and will now be able to introduce new brands in her new shop.
Along with her business partner and mum, Julia Pousette, the pair seem to be in their element in their new spacious shop.
Laura explained: “Everyone used to call me Lu-La Belle when I was younger, so the name Lu-La Belle Couture just fitted right,” smiled Laura.
Having started selling clothes online six years ago this young entrepreneurial young woman is going from strength to strength, as her mum, Julia explained: “Laura works so hard, it’s all credit to herself that she is where she is today.
“It’s thanks to her regular customers who have supported us along the way and the many lovely ladies who have come to see us here in our new premises.
“We have received so many good luck cards and flowers, we even run out of vases!” she smiled.
“Many more people are now shopping and supporting local small independent retailers and making Cleethorpes a destination,” said Laura.
“And it’s nice we can give that personal service to each and every customer.
“All our new neighbours here on the High Street, have welcomed us so much and their kindness and support makes us proud to part of this friendly community,” she added.
The opening Laura’s shop has meant another great local independent trader showing confidence in the area, bringing with her a lovely range of spring and summer fashions and accessories for all ages and sizes.
“It’s been hard work getting the shop ready, but it’s so spacious, we even have room for push chairs, in fact is was so busy here to other day it was like a creche,” she laughed Julia.
And there’s certainly an atmosphere of spring and summer throughout the shop with a range of clothing in beautiful colours that lifts the spirits.
“For the new season expect to see ruffles and lace, Badot tops and dresses, summer kaftans and pretty kimonos which will be arriving soon.
“Also jewelled flip flops, summer sandals, espadrilles and beach bags,” added Julia.
And Lu-La Belle’s have Mother’s Day gift ideas all wrapped up with many affordable accessories, jewellery, lingerie and gift vouchers.
Looking around the shop there is a vast range of colourful bags, scarves, jewellery, shoes sandals jeans, trousers, tops, dresses, macs and jackets and lingerie.
“We’re not all about fashion for young women and our sizes are from size-6 to 16/18 for any age range,” said Julia.
This family affair business venture is sure to make an impact on the High Street, as Julia added: “My husband has also worked hard to get the shop ready, he has shed many a drop of blood, sweat and tears, in helping us get to where we are now.
And not ones to stand still, there are plans to add something new to their business.
“We can’t say too much at the moment but we have a really big area upstairs that are hope to do something with.
“It will be something different for the High Street, so watch this space, literally!” smiled Laura.
