Waltham Tea Gardens opens after ‘fantastic’ refurbishment
12th June 2017
The Waltham Tea Gardens has re-opened after undergoing a "fantastic" refurbishment that staff hope will bring the premises into the modern era.
The Tea Gardens had been closed for the past five weeks as the redevelopment was taking place, which was carried out by Ian Dickson Interiors and now everything within the premises is brand new, except for "a few touches of character."
Bar manager Sharon Dixon was delighted with the refurbishment, noting that so far visitors have been very excited with the work that has been done.
She said: "Basically we felt that the Tea Gardens was getting quite dated, so we wanted to do something to make it more modern, while still keeping the character that everyone knows and loves.
"Pretty much everything is now brand new, and after five long weeks of work ID Interiors have really done a fantastic job.
"So far we have had a really great reception, and people just can't believe how much the place has transformed."
