Business Hive welcomes new Patrons to the local enterprise support club

An initiative to demonstrate commitment to the local business community has grown once again, with two companies from across the Humber and Lincolnshire regions becoming the latest advocate members.

Kubix Media, a marketing and design agency with bases in Lincolnshire and Birmingham, and Hull-based chartered surveyors Clark Weightman have become Patron members of Grimsby-based enterprise support club, The Business Hive. The Patron initiative was created in 2016 in order to allow organisations to meet businesses from across the borough, making connections for any future opportunities.

Clark Weightman have been members of the Business Hive since it was established back in 2013.

Carl Bradley, Director of Clark Weightman, said: “We’ve been connected with the Business Hive since day one. Our membership number is 001, so it is a logical – if perhaps belated – step to become a Patron.  We really value the role that The Hive plays in the local business community, we have already forged excellent professional relationships with many of the members, and look to use our role as Patrons to increase awareness about Clark Weightman Limited, to be an advocate for the Business Hive and to work with our fellow Patrons and members to increase the prosperity and vibrancy of North East Lincolnshire.

“There are so many positive aspects to North East Lincolnshire at the present time with the plans for the town centre, strength in the food sector and continued growth of the renewables industries. We want Clark Weightman to be the 'must call' business for commercial property advice at this time of huge potential growth.”

Kubix Media became members of the Business Hive in 2016, and are now looking to help and educate the local business community through their Patronage.

Looay Gharib, Managing Director of Kubix Media, said: “Becoming a Patron member of the Hive felt like the right thing to do. Not only are Kubix in the position to offer our clients exactly what they need to grow their digital presence, we now have the experience to educate those who need it and to give back to local Lincolnshire businesses through training and discovery sessions.

“Our team are powered across the UK, which means that we can bring good ideas, know-how, and the ability to perform at a level that comes from the city. We can’t wait to get more involved with the Hive over the coming months, and we're excited to play a part in its growth.”

The two companies join the likes of Forrester Boyd, CATCH and North East Lincolnshire Council as Patron Members. Since launching in mid-2016, the Patron initiative has grown to 14 members.
